Pigskin is an automatic versioning and deployment system for applications.
It is written in Java so it works on all Java enabled platforms, but it can be used
to update and/or deploy software written in any language. You can use Pigskin to
perform the following functions:
In a client/server system, check the server version and automatically update the
client portion to the same version.
Automatically update standalone applications to the latest version from a server
Allow applications to easily download modules and localizations from a server
Automatically deploy an application on a large number of workstation computers on a network
